Systems Capital Africa 2026 · The COP31 Gateway
Venue, timing, accreditation, visas and accommodation.
Venue
All three mornings take place in Antalya during COP31. Venue and transfer details are confirmed to delegates by the Secretariat.
Arrival is from 07:30. Sessions run 08:00 to 10:00 on Days One and Two and 08:00 to 10:40 on Day Three, leaving delegates free for the COP31 programme for the rest of each day.
Programme notes
| Topic | Detail |
|---|---|
| Travel and access times | The World Leaders’ Summit takes place on 11 and 12 November. Delegates travelling to a 07:30 arrival on 13 November should allow additional time for transfers, which are arranged by the Secretariat. |
| Room use | Opening sessions and closing plenaries are held jointly across Rooms A and B. The labs on Days One and Two and the country working tables on Day Three run in parallel, one per room. |
| Lab structure | Transaction Labs A and B run in parallel on Day One. On Day Two, Systems Lab A covers mandates and capital allocation, and project preparation and bankability; Systems Lab B covers debt, local currency and capital structure, and guarantees, risk sharing and market infrastructure. On Day Three, Room A hosts the Nigeria, Kenya and Zambia working tables and Room B hosts the South Africa, Namibia and Mauritius working tables. |
| Afternoon pathways | Outside the morning sessions, the Secretariat coordinates delegate participation in COP31 programming, including the Sustainable Innovation Forum on 10 and 11 November. Targeted introductions and pre-arranged meetings continue during the COP31 day. |
| Sequence | Day Two falls on Friday 13 November, the COP31 Finance and Trade day. The country-platform session follows on Saturday 14 November, so that the action register agreed on Day Two is converted while the institutions that made those commitments are still in Antalya. |
| COP31 accreditation | The Gateway mornings require no UNFCCC accreditation. Blue Zone entry requires a UNFCCC badge, and delegates should not assume Blue Zone access until the Secretariat confirms it in writing. No Blue Zone session forms part of this programme. |
| Accommodation | Delegates should book accommodation only through the channel confirmed in writing by the Secretariat, which holds the delegation allocation centrally. |
