Systems Capital Africa (SCA) 2026
Global capital allocated to Africa continues to grow, yet deployment remains well below potential. The constraint is not capital. It is the absence of trusted structures, risk allocation, investable pipelines and fit-for-purpose instruments to move capital into transactions.
SCA is a permanent, pan-African platform for institutional capital formation and market execution. It brings together the institutions that originate, prepare, de-risk and deploy capital, converting national and institutional priorities into investable pipelines, financing structures and transactions. Its convenings are the entry points: priorities to pipelines, pipelines to transactions, transactions to capital deployed.
SCA 2026 – The COP31 Gateway convenes in Antalya on 10, 13 and 14 November during COP31. A curated delegation of African executives, asset owners and institutional investors will meet Turkish private-sector investors with interests in Africa. The format is built for business, not conference scale.

Define the financing structures, risk allocation, de-risking interventions and actions required to reach execution.
Relationships
Build direct relationships between African executives and Turkish investors, positioning Africa’s climate and growth priorities within COP31’s capital-mobilisation agenda.
Three stages and a roundtable
Outputs feed SCA’s annual, country-specific programme of transaction structuring and investment development.
Screened transactions are reviewed to identify deployment barriers and define the financing structures, de-risking interventions and next steps required. What can move, who can finance it, and what is blocking it?
Rooms work directly from those barriers across mandates and capital allocation, project preparation and bankability, local currency and capital structures, and guarantees and market infrastructure. Each produces a defined intervention, accountable owner, timetable and continuation pathway.
Country executives, domestic institutions and strategic partners convert selected priorities into country-platform mandates, anchor relationships and 90-day activation plans for the 2027 Systems Capital programmes.
On COP31’s Finance & Trade Day, a 60-minute roundtable at the Nigeria Pavilion brings African stock exchanges, DFIs, securities regulators and asset owners to one table to build local markets into development finance — a listed tranche in every major DFI-led financing — and leaves with two or three pilot transactions taken forward through SCA.
