1. About this policy

This policy explains how ASFI Group ("ASFI", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on asfi.africa (the "Website"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Questions: events@stanleyaustin.com

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage, pixels, tags and scripts. They help a site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. Cookies may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them), and may be set by us ("first-party") or by other organisations ("third-party").

3. Legal basis

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we place strictly necessary cookies without consent, and we place all other cookies only with your consent. You can give, refuse or withdraw consent at any time (see section 5).

4. Cookies we use

The Website does not currently set any cookies or use similar technologies such as local storage, analytics or advertising tags (checked 11 October 2026). The table shows the categories we would use and whether consent is needed. We will update it before introducing any cookies.

If we introduce third-party cookies, those providers may process data outside the UK. See their own policies for details and our Privacy Policy for how we safeguard international transfers.

5. Managing your choices

  • Cookie banner / preferences centre. The Website does not currently set non-essential cookies, so no cookie banner is shown. If we introduce them, we will ask for your consent through a banner before setting them, and you will be able to change your choice at any time via a "Cookie settings" link in the Website footer.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Guidance: www.aboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Website works.
  • Analytics opt-out. We do not currently use Google Analytics. If we do, you will be able to install the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Because the Website does not currently use non-essential cookies or tracking, these signals do not change how it behaves. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a refusal of consent.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add or change cookies. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Where changes are material, we will ask for your consent again where required.
